SDVOSB, VOSB, MBE Certified Contractor: Washington State Credentials

SBA certified Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business

Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB)

SBA certified. Supports federal and state small business participation and supplier diversity goals.

The SDVOSB designation is granted by the U.S. Small Business Administration to firms at least 51% owned and controlled by a veteran with a service-connected disability. For an evaluating agency, that means contract dollars awarded to Alpha Edge Construction count toward service-disabled veteran participation goals, and the status is independently verifiable through our active federal registration in SAM.gov rather than taken on our word.

SBA certified Veteran-Owned Small Business

Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB)

SBA certified. Eligible for veteran set-aside and preference programs where applicable.

VOSB status covers the broader category of firms majority-owned and operated by veterans. Where a solicitation carries a veteran set-aside or an evaluation preference, this certification makes us eligible to compete for it. On most Washington public work it stacks with our small works roster registration rather than replacing it, so agencies can pull us in through either path.

Washington State OMWBE certified Minority Business Enterprise

Minority Business Enterprise (MBE)

Certified through the Washington State Office of Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises (OMWBE).

OMWBE verifies ownership, control, and operating history before certifying a firm, so the designation carries weight in evaluation. Agencies tracking diversity participation under state reporting requirements, and prime contractors carrying MBE commitments on a public project, can apply our contract dollars directly against those goals without additional substantiation.

For Agencies and Prime Contractors

Alpha Edge Construction is registered in SAM.gov and eligible for federal, state, municipal, and commercial contracting opportunities. We support prime contractors in meeting small business participation and supplier diversity requirements, and we are experienced with the reporting that comes with it — including B2Gnow diversity reporting and L&I prevailing wage documentation.

Verify Every Credential Independently

Nothing on this page requires taking our word for it. Our contractor license, bond, and insurance standing are searchable in the Washington State L&I contractor lookup, our federal registration and Unique Entity ID are public in SAM.gov, and our small works registration is maintained through the MRSC Small Works Roster used by most Washington municipalities and special districts.

Compliance carries past award, too. We file L&I Intent and Affidavit of Wages Paid on prevailing wage work, report participation through B2Gnow where an agency requires it, and follow EPA RRP lead-safe procedures on pre-1978 buildings. That paperwork discipline is usually what separates a smooth closeout from a retainage fight, and it is built into how we run a job rather than bolted on at the end.

If it is easier to see the certifications in context than on a credential list, our project history shows the public works and tenant improvement work these qualifications support, and our services overview breaks down which scopes we self-perform and which we subcontract.
